MUNICH — The first NFL regular-season touchdown in Germany has been scored between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks!

Just after the start of the second quarter, Bucs quarterback Tom Brady — who has received a rousing ovation from fans in Germany every time he has been shown on the video boards at Allianz Arena, and every time he has taken a snap — found wide receiver Julio Jones on a crossing route for a 31-yard touchdown to give the Bucs a 7-0 lead.

Jones raced at 20.23 miles per hour past Quandre Diggs and beat Josh Jones to the pylon for the score. It was the 33-year-old receiver’s second-fastest time of the season on a route, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.

On the previous drive, Brady and wide receiver Chris Godwin failed to connect on a third-and-14 pass over the middle, and kicker Ryan Succop missed a 52-yard field goal.

It was Jones’ second touchdown as a Buc, with his first scored two weeks ago against the Baltimore Ravens in his first game back after missing three weeks with a knee injury.
